T.M. Jayaratna's sinhala song sung by an Indian teenagers - watch the video


                                   

Jayaratne was conceived in Dodangoda, Sri Lanka. He sought after higher learning at St. Anthony's School and consequently Maliyadeva School. As a teen Jayaratne prepared as a violinist.
In 1966 Jayaratne started act as a music educator at the Hewavitharana Maha Vidyalaya in Rajagiriya. He was drawn into singing by the leader of the People and Examination unit at the Television Company C.j.s. Kulathilaka who requested that him vocalize a few Sinhala people tunes that included "Gana Thel Sadun" to be show over the radio. He recorded his first tune in 1970.

Jayaratne appeared as a playback vocalist with "Lahiru Dahasak" composed by Sunil Ariyarathne and made by Premasiri Khemadasa. In 1978 he discharged his first tape Tharanga Volume - 01.


In 1980 Jayaratne dueted with Sunila Abeysekera on "Hemin Sare Piya Vida" for the film Hansa Vilak. The tune was composed by W. Jayasiri with music by Khemadasa and turned into a well known tune in Sri Lanka.

'Nobalan Kumariya Nisasala mama desa' , the first melody sings by T.m. Jayarathna. However this extraordinary melody has sung by group of Indian teens and transferred the feature to the you-tube. We accept you will delight in the feature melody of this Indian youngsters.
